Cinema gives us much more than that: it gives us the opportunity to like and dislike, to argue, to discuss and sometimes leaves us speechless. If you enjoy cinema just for itself or if you are one of those who are hooked on films and loves to make new friends and discuss films for hours on end, then: consider joining Moving Images Film Club. Starting with its first screening on the 19th of March 2004, Moving Images in collaboration with the International Centre, Goa at Dona Paula (also the venue of the screenings) will bring to you films and documentaries, popular and the classics, from India and across the globe. The screenings are open to all and there is no charge. Moving Images with the support of the Goa International Centre will screen two films every month. Filmmakers and critics will be invited to talk about their or others� films whenever possible. We also hope to put together workshops, retrospectives and film festivals too. In April we will have two documentary filmmakers from Mumbai presenting their documentaries to us. If you are a student or professional in art, writing, advertising, social science, social work, publishing, journalism, architecture, home science, management etc., you will find that watching and talking cinema helps you broaden your perspective. But then cinema is also much fun for almost anybody else too. Schedules and Movie Lists will be posted on this newsgroup, so please join in by accepting this invitation.
