In a strongly worded statement, with long term ramifications, President Pandurang today said that the "GoaNet Shining" campaign was against all democratic norms.

Addressing a Press Conference with the Chief Election Commissioner President Pandurang said, "You show me where are the 5,200 subscribers. As of today not even 300 qualify to vote. This is vote bank politics. These are sops."

Gabe Menezes, the newly inducted member of the CEC Hardcore Committee interjected, " What are sops?"

President Pandurang said "I don't know but it's a word everyone uses during election time. I suppose a sop is someone who does not participate in GoaNet discussions and just lurks around."

"What's a vote bank?"

"Something like a nationalised bank which has the name of the village or town written on the signboard outside. In case you are lost and don't have JoeUk's mobile"

"Does every Goan have Rs. 80,000/- in the bank?"

"So says the Herald."

At this point Seb rolled out a huge banner that said "Goanet Ablaze" and lit it on fire. President Pandurang roared "Let this be a warning to anyone who uses Government machinery to make such huge banners".

Vivian read out the rules regarding posters. "Only posters who have posted before 31st March 2004 are eligible to vote."

The CEC said "Yo!"

Seb was trying to contact some Merwyn 2.0 regarding the promised Canadian Tyre money. Seb is being investigated by the police on a charge of arson for lighting firecrackers near a petroleum depot. Sab also said "This Committe is short staffed. There should be only one E. Does anybody remember the EEEEE from koino-bal? Who plays kaylyani and maddyani anymore? "

Goa Sudharop have not yet confirmed their Rs. 50,000/- contribution towards the CEC office.
