ANAND Excerpts: Malaysia 's no-frill international carrier Air Asia is planning to commence flights between India and Malaysia within two years with 70 per cent cheaper fare than the normal ticket price on this route. Air Asia CEO Tony Fernandes is in the process of finalising this plan. "Our fares have been 50-70 per cent cheaper than the normal international carriers and it will be same in the case of India ," he told this reporter from Kuala Lumpur. Though Fernandes refused to state the price band for an Air Asia India-Malaysia ticket fare, industry insiders pointed out that the fare is expected to be under Rs 4,500 for a one-way ticket, which is cheaper than a Delhi-Mumbai fare.
