Take a test. Randomly select five passengers from each bus arriving at KTC bus stand in Panaji from any destination....even from Miramar or Santa Cruz. Ask each of them to give you the directions to the State Museum[ which is hardly 500 metres away from the KTC bus stand]. If 10 % of the people can tell you exactly where it is located and how to get there on foot or by vehicle, I am your fairy godmother. ;-)
GOA STATE MUSEUM: The long history of a small geographical entity called Goa > showcased with exhibits at the Goa State Museum, a prestigious project of > world importance, is yet to attract tourists, both domestic and foreign. Is > it a museum or a morgue? The State government agencies both academic and > those connected with tourism promotion have failed to motivate people to > visit this centre of great heritage and knowledge. Housed in a stately > edifice at the Pato Plaza, a massive commercial complex along the Rua de > Ourem canal, the museum has seven spacious galleries. (Jagdish Wagh in GT) Can we have some signboards near the KTC bus stand, please. Could someone list it in the tourist brochures? Can the GTDC buses on package tours of Old Goa or Ponda not stop ther for a while?? Can the schools not be invited to visit the state museum the same way they visit the Goa Science Centre? None of the answers are actually expensive. No one is giving it a damn,it seems. Viva Goa. Miguel --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
