I will respond to the messages on destruction of temples separately. Since there are a few, I will have to spend some time and will do so in a day or two.

As the electoral battle is heating up, one gets into a lot of claims and counter-claims. One of them relates to the education of Rahul Gandhi. Some reports say that he received a degree from Harvard University, while another report says that he spent only one year there.

In India Today, the article says that Rahul spent a year each at St Stephen's College in Delhi and Harvard University, and did a MPhil course in development studies at Trinity College, Cambridge. Does Cambridge University take in their master's course students who have not complete a bachelor's degree?

The article also says that Rahul did a 'stint at mangaement guru Michael Porter's company Monitor' based in London.

I am wondering if those who on the list and residing in the UK can comment on the facts relating to Rahul's time in the UK.

I do realise that it is not only education that makes a man. My father could not study beyond high school, and he has done well for himself and for his children. On the other hand, I find that despite getting a graduate degree that I am not fully well settled, at least at the moment. :-)

However, if Rahul has not studied what is supposed to have done, it is indeed strange that the media is trying to project him as something else.

Sachin Phadte.
