I'm working on a mini project of putting together an *alternative* phone
directory for Goa. We journalist in Goa currently have access to a fairly
good *official* phone directory for our use (brought out and regularly
updated by the Dept of Information). But we lack an *alternative* list of
newsmakers.
My current listing has about a thousand entries, in the format below. Some
need to be updated and/or verified, in view of the frequently-changing
phone numbers in Goa.
If we can pool together the useful phone numbers we have, it would (i)
make things easier for all journos and others looking out for comment or
contact on particular subjects (ii) allow for a greater diversity of
voices to be heard in the Press and (iii) generally allow us to better
map who's doing what in the state.

Once the listing is completed, my plan is to share it freely in digital
format. We might be able to also take printouts in a spreadsheet format.
If someone is willing to support the idea, it could also be converted into
