This was an article that Mr. Gabe Menezes wants everyone to read. Every country runs on their policies pertaining to security be it internal or external, on charges of treason the punishments may vary, on murder, theft, rape, and so forth. At times one may read a lot of made up stories and get convinced not only on the above topic but it could be on a personal level too.
I would take on Mr.Menezes if he can prove's otherwise that Uganda is not progressing , what it was 30 years back and the progress it has made now and still excelling be it Industries, Agriculture, Tourism, Information Technology, Health, Education and other allied fields. It is still the Pearl of Africa, it does not mean that because you read some negative stories of the country you live in, the country is not progressing. Wonder when you last visited Uganda and you ought to visit and make a judgement. If you carefully read the report the stress is more on political opponents being tortured,(how far what is true is difficult to digest) it is more of a political issue. Different Newspapers have different stories which one do you believe in? With problems in India be it rape of minors, murder,corruption and many more does it mean india is not progressing, the song is INDIA IS SHINING. The unfortunate Bombing incidents in United States of America did not bring a halt in development of the country that too is progressing.
