A bus to Goa, a too-good-to-be-true advert stories from the travellers this week - won the prize this sunday- Eddie Verdes Bus stop stop By: A Sunday Mid Day Correspondent April 11, 2004 http://web.mid-day.com/smd/go/2004/april/80832.htm My four-year old son has been to Goa nine times already, by train and by air, so he’s quite familiar with the whole journey. That’s why the last time my husband and I were really puzzled when on our way to the airport, he kept asking us when we would reach the bus stop. I wondered why he was asking us that when we had never travelled by bus to Goa. I explained again and again that we were travelling by plane — and even pointed out the planes waiting on the runway once we were close to the airport. He wasn’t impressed. “But when are we reaching the bus stop?” was all he wanted to know.
After our security check, our boarding announcement was made. We queued up, and that’s when his eyes lit up. “Yes! The bus stop is come!” he shouted, happily skipping his way to the coach that was taking us to the aircraft. “Now we can take a plane to Goa.” Nita Deb, Khar Eddie www.goa-world.com/kantaram www.goa-world.com/konkani/konkani_munneo_konkani_sayings.htm ########################################################################## # Send submissions for Goanet to [EMAIL PROTECTED] # # PLEASE remember to stay on-topic (related to Goa), and avoid top-posts # # More details on Goanet at http://joingoanet.shorturl.com/ # # Please keep your discussion/tone polite, to reflect respect to others # ##########################################################################
