To worsen matters, since the last few days, whatever trickle of water was available stopped totally. We asked the technician stationed at Nerul to take a look. He suspected something was blocking the flow of water.He unscrewed the pipe that was connected to the main pipe, from the tap connection, and found what we thought was a balloon.
After he extracted it, we realized it was a used condom that had a knot tied in it. How is it possible for such a thing to find its way into the potable water supply system? What about the health hazards, including a possible exposure to the AIDS virus with the entry of such foreign bodies into our water life-lines?
