I recommend the excellent work by Doutor Oliveira B�leo "Apontamentos para uma Geografia F�sica de Goa", Ag�ncia Geral do Ultramar, Divis�o de Publica��es e Biblioteca, Lisboa, 1955, with the following chapters: Condi��es Topogr�ficas, Condi��es Geol�gicas, Condi��es Hipsom�tricas, Condi��es Hidrogr�ficas and Condi��es Clim�ticas.
It's an old edition, but you might find it in one of Brazil's National Libraries.
