As a resident of Goa, but not a citizen of India, I cannot vote, and therefore can observe the electoral shenanigans here at "ground-zero" with a detached view.
I pity the rank and file citizen who is bombarded with all kinds of information and mis-information. Should one vote for a certain candidate, just to spite the opposition ? The choices seem to be between the devil and the deep blue Arabian sea. The track record of some of the candidates recommended by fellow goa-netters is less than stellar. Given the choices, if I were eligible to vote, I would abstain.
