Re: Pirated Passion in Church - News Report Cecil Pinto The news report below appeared on Sunday 9th May in Weekender/Gomantak Times. After reading it I hope the 'blinded by faith' people, who were demanding that I apologise to the Church, will see the error of their ways and now live an informed life!
Gilbert's response: Please read my post to you on this subject. To re-state, in case you missed the point, there are better ways to bring the issue to the appropriate Church authorities. They are a few blocks from you in Panjim rather than routing your "alleged charges" by a post via an international message board on the net. This is especially so as the Padvigar of Aldona Church or the Goa Bishop or his assistants are not corresponding members of this web. Your post was not aimed at solving a problem but rather to slam the church. You may not have meant it (please give me a break) but this was clear from your post. Please be man enough and a mature Goan to appreciate the failing of your post. Neither in your original post nor in the current post is there clear evidence that a pirated copy was shown in the Aldona church. Later, you backed off from the "pirated attack" and presented a humorous (silly) justification that even a legit version of the Passion should not be shown in the sanctified area of the church. The absurdity was that you did so after claiming you are a non-practicing Catholic. Finally it is better to be blinded by faith that to be blinded by pride. ########################################################################## # Send submissions for Goanet to [EMAIL PROTECTED] # # PLEASE remember to stay on-topic (related to Goa), and avoid top-posts # # More details on Goanet at http://joingoanet.shorturl.com/ # # Please keep your discussion/tone polite, to reflect respect to others # ##########################################################################
