All the Polls and predictions conducted in most scientific ways have failed and contrary to the Pollsters expectations BJP failed and Congress gained in the election. Polls and predictions conducted thru the means of social science cannot give exact results because social science is not an exact science. The failure of BJP to gain the maximum advantage of this election result is the Devine Punishment for their sins and crimes they have committed against the minorities. The souls of thousands of innocent Muslims killed brutally by the Hindu fanatics of Modi�s Gujarat and backed by the party covertly or overtly were still crying with pain, God has heard their cries and Devine Power finally worked which is a punishment for Vajpayee and his partners in crime. Vajpayee proved to be very cunning person. While injustice was going on against minorities he was doing nothing but only disapproving of what his party men were supporting. Even when Babri Masjid was demolished he showed his disapproval but these are all verbal tricks to gain goodwill of those who are hurt. Instead of reprimanding Modi severely Vajpayee hailed him by bringing him into more limelight. According to one source, Modi and his type of fanatics silently vowed to take revenge against minorities including Christians if BJP had to regain the power. During the emergency time when Hitlerian Indira Gandhi went for election, her staunch supporter Siddhartha S. Ray in organizing excesses during the emergency period was the Chief Minister of West Bengal. Siddhartha S. Ray thought dictatorial Indira Gandhi�s Congress would surely come back to power and with that intention like Modi recently vowed to finish the opposition saying �let us come back to power, we will kill you� (later on after the defeat in election he denied this statement). Siddhartha Sankar Lost and his entire Congress along with brute Indira Gandhi also lost. That was the Devine Punishment for those who are acting against disciplined and moral ways of life.
I hail the defeat of BJP that is backed by some Hindu fundamentalists. The defeat of BJP was made possible by the vast majority of secular and broad minded Hindus whom I salute from Kuwait. They have taken a very bold decision by rejecting their precious votes to BJP. They have shown to everyone and mainly to BJP that Hinduism is not fanaticism even though some brought bad name to Hinduism by indulging in fanaticism. The defeat of Chandrababu Naidu was the rejection of his high tech policy he followed in Andra Pradesh. One side going for high tech policy and on the other hand doing nothing for the poverty stricken people means something wrong with him. India needs advancement and high tech policy but surely not at the cost of poverty stricken people. In this election Indians have rejected lop sided policy of BJP and that of Chandrababu Naidu. In this election the poor voters have indicated their power and what it means to be �Demos-kratia�.
The dialogue with Pakistan now can go on with still smoother pace because earlier it was only the fanatics in BJP and its supporters opposed friendship with Pakistan when BJP was out of power. The next Government will have a strong base put by BJP to move ahead with faster pace with Pakistan and bring about further reconciliation.
In Goa the victory of Churchill Alemao against Angle of BJP is a great set back for Parrikar and his false claims that BJP is supported in South by the minorities. BJP is not supported by the minorities anywhere in Goa. Church has to be commended for enlightening the voters. If Churchill won it was not because voters loved Churchill but because voters hated BJP and as I said Church leaders have played a very crucial role in garnering greater number of votes in Goa for non-BJP candidates. It is a lesson for everyone who defies Church edicts in Goa to be more cautious. MGP fall during Shashikala Kakodkar�s time was initiated by the Church. When Kumar was hanged in Auguada, before the actual hanging Patriarch Raul Gonsalves pleaded with the Government to spare Kumar of this hanging since it was the first time in Goa. But Shashikala revolted and insulted Patriarch saying �Patriarch by issuing his open plea in favour of Kumar has tried to gain cheap publicity�. This statement hurt the sentiments of Christians and then and there Shashikala was made a target of her communalism and from there Shashikala was never allowed to regain her power. With her even MGP was targeted. In Goa nobody should play with minority because Goan minority is not a miniscule minority, it is substantial minority wielding lot of influence and power over every segment of Goan life. During the whole electioneering process the borrowed non-BJP MLS supporting Parrikar showed their true colours for which the voters in their constituencies should not forgive them especially Mathanay Saldanha who was supposed to be more upright than all others. By playing the role of Dr. Jekeyl and Mr. Hyde, Mathanay Saldanha is handing over his seat on silver platter again to scandal filled Mauwin Godinho.
While writing these lines Congress has not made up its decision who to elevate to the position of Premiership though Sonia Gandhi has not openly committed to acquire this position. Her daughter Priyanka always in her statements evaded this question and always said that what is important is to win the election and not the premier�s position to her mother. Sonia Gandhi inspite of her marriage with Indian Rajiv Gandhi refused for so many years to accept voluntarily Indian citizenship. When Sanjay Gandhi was playing a pivotal role in Indian politics it was said Sonia was undergoing lot of humiliation in the family because of this she was even coaxing Rajiv to leave India and settle down in Italy. I don�t know exactly her patriotism for India but it is a pity that Congress Party is devoid of gigantic figures in its ranks to take over the reins of the party. It is a pity that only Nehru family members are required to shoulder the responsibility. Now Sonia Gandhi the Italian wife of Indian Rajiv Gandhi and in future it may be French Ms Veronique the future wife of Rahul Gandhi. I think we Indians want only the foreigners to rule us.
Once again I hail the defeat of BJP the most fanatic, the most arrogant, the most cruel and the most fundamentalist political party in India.
