Thanks to Goanet readers' feedback over the feedback to the recent "mango" debate. Ideally, Goanet should be moderated more by peer pressure and acceptability-levels of the readers, rather than a policy which puts the onus on a small volunteer team -- who's decision (for blocking or not blocking) then get criticised one way or another.
For those who want to know why the 'mango' debate was brought to a close, please carefully go through the entire thread. In particular, take a look at what one of the posters subsequently termed "a brilliantly opportunistic bi-lingual pun". It is for the readers to decide what level of lewdness and obscenity are to be tolerated in postings to this list. Please however make sure that you appreciate the issues involved adequately. If Goanet's readers are more active, then the Admin Team would have an easier job. If you find a post which you think is unfair, please send in your comments about it.... to the list. Our own approach as Admin Team is to grant the maximum leeway for expression of views -- whether we agree with it or not -- unless it is a very blatant violation of the rules.
