It would be nice for the Panjim Corporation people to visit the OSHO commune in Pune and see the face lift given to the Nulla near which the ashram is located. This nulla was a nuisance at one time and was transformed into a Japanese rock garden and the place which people once never wanted to walk past is a PLACE OF INTEREST. This place is also used by the commune for meditation. The completion of the ultra modern plant with imported European technology is expected to bring a halt to the disgorging of massive quantities of untreated sewage into the polluted St Inez nullah, which debouches into river Mandovi-barely meters away from the multiplex at the old GMC complex. (GT) NULLAH BEING CLEANED: The Corporation of the City of Panaji, on Sunday (June 6) commenced a cleanup drive at all stagnation points in St Inez nallah. The mammoth task began following an assurance given by the Corporation during a session at the Panjim Expo which discussed the St Inez nallah and the need for providing it a new lease of life. (H)
