On Saturday, May 29, 2004 George Pinto posted Tony Fernandes email on Goanet in which he announced the release of Tony's book entitled "Goa: Memories of My Homeland". One of the highlights of the book is that it contains 150 Goan proverbs and sayings. Are these new proverbs and sayings, or are they the ones that we posted on Goanet last year? Moi-mogan, Domnic Fernandes Anjuna/Dhahran, KSA RESPONSE: Incidentally I read Tony Fernandes' book yesterday. A short book, which is a collection of poems, short stories, photographs/sketches and of course the 150 Goan Proverbs. The book is exactly what Tony has called it - Memories of My Homeland - a collection of Tony's memories growing up in Goa in the 50s, 60s, 70s. Some of Tony's poems have been published on http://www.poetry.com . Some of the proverbs included in Tony's book could have been included in Eddie's list (that he shared with some of us) and the list that Domnic keeps adding to. For obvious copyright reasons, I can't share the contents of the book in this email but would encourage as many of you as possible to purchase the book to support our fellow goan. More information on the book can be had from [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Best wishes - Bosco
