Two VCDs on GOA: 1. GOA a Paradise ( Agostinho Da Cruz) Nov.2003 Rs.250 Duration 1 hour. A well presented documentary with male/female voices (narration) BBC Style. It is all about Goa, showing not just touristic spots but Goan culture, herritage etc A good souvernir to all Goans, NRIs and tourists. A reminder of Goan Tradition some of which may disappear soon. Almost every thing is covered- complete traditional dances like Kharvi dance, Dekhnni, Zagor/Khunbi dance, Corodhin and Mando dance. It also shows Goan carnaval, shigmo, Zatra, Sao Joao,religeous procession, Goan Pottery, bakery,basket weaving,farming,agriculture, fishing,mining,bullock carts, mapusa market, churches, mosques,Goan houses, forts, Dudsagar,Dona Paula, beaches, river cruises etc etc Verdict: Very Good (except the price, but it may be cheaper now) 2. Beaches of Goa (by Taresh Sabharwal)Mar.2004 Rs.99 Duration 1 hour. Good Souvenir to Goans and Tourists. It mainly covers most Goan tourist spots (not just beaches of Goa)- at least 2.5 minutes each on Miramar beach, Arambol, Colva, Sinquerim, Baga, Vagator, Anjuna, Calangute, Donapaula. At least 1.5 minutes each on Churches, Temples, Panaji City, Campal Children park, Santa Monica River Cruising, Mayen Lake, Goan Ferry boat, shivaji Fort etc And about 14 minutes on 2004 Goan Carnaval where one can also watch short clips of Goan traditional dances like dehknni, kunnbi dance, corodinh, kharvi dance etc. Backroud Goan Traditional songs & instrumental playing throught out.
