Hi Rene & Lori,

Thanks for your messages and clarifications. When both of you pointed out sites with proverbs and sayings, I was very much interested to know if there were more such sites and if I was repeating what was already available there. So far, nobody else has come up with any more sites, but if anyone knows of such sites, please feel free to post them on GoaNet. However, I still disagree with Loris following site:

http://culture.konkani.com/Article/40_Amchigale_Gyadi__.htm

To me, these are Marathi proverbs written in Roman script. Keep in mind we are working to promote Goan Konkani in Roman script not Marathi in Roman script! So, please, let us not confuse GoaNetters and misguide them!

Dominic,

I believed that I was being helpful by sharing my knowledge of
what's on the WEB with others , not every one has easy access to
the web.

Its always easier to read what is posted on the net - I feel
that your postings on the goanet , is more beneficial than my
web pointers.

So , my friend Dominic - I am sorry if i have caused you any offence ,
I do apologize without any reservation.

Lets us remain TOGETHER and work together for OUR Community.

VIVA GOA !

Dominic,

No offence intended in my posting the LINK. The link posted was more
KONKni than KONKANI (ADMIT). It could inspire someone interested to
alter them to the KONKANI version.

Copyright is a BIG problem in India you see... The Americans patented
our own BASMATI as TEXMATI. Did India stop producing it? The Basmati has
become even more popular ever since...

You certainly doing a good job and should continue regardless of what
netters have to say.

People will certainly read if it is available and if not they will get
used to reading something else or will rush to GOOGLE IT!!

Any repeats are boring! So get back in action or people will get used to
not reading the "Aichea Dissak Chintop"

RENE I guess it is your turn now. You got to give Dominic a PAT for his
contribution.

Cheers..

Law

Hi Victor,

Thank you very much for your message of last Friday. It is good to know

that you like my Konkani quotes and that you use them to brush up your
Konkani. As for your request, I intend to repeat my previous Konkani
quotes
with English translation, but I would request you to wait until I
receive
GoaNetters' response to my following message which was posted on GoaNet
yesterday:

"Dear Goanetters,

Recently, some Goanetters pointed out websites where one can find
Konkani
proverbs. This is indeed very good news. However, I wished they came
up
with these websites earlier - "Ghoddnem uprant budhvont zavop sompem"
(It is
easy to be wise after the event). Therefore, if anyone knows of any
websites with Konkani SAYINGS, please post them on Goanet. Until then,
I
have decided to put on hold my daily article "Aichea Dissak Chintop"
(Thought for Today). It would be foolish of me to keep on posting them
every day (5 days a week) if they are already available on websites."
