Dear Goanetters. I have noticed that some of my fellow netters seem to be unable to find anything positive about the present CM of Goa, Mr. Manohar Parrikar. I will share with you some views based on my latest visit to Goa. Before Parrikar came to office, leading politicians in Goa was more occupied with filling their own pockets that spending public money on the people. A close look at Goa today, tells a different story. Even hard-core Catholics have to give Mr. Parrikar has some credit for all the development and infrastructure project which has been initiated in he last five years. On my latest visit to Goa, I had the pleasure of seeing that positive developments is taking place in my own native villages. Ribandar has got a new Patto bridge. Old Goa will soon have a new by-pas-road along the Kadamba plateau. Mr. Parrikar also seems to be determined to complete the new Highway between Panaji and Margao in his term of office. It is a said story that Ribandar for decades has been behind when it comes to development, compared with other leading villages in Goa. But that is not because of neglect from the Government. The people of Ribandar have simply not been able to choose honest spokesmen for their village. It is all a matter of supporting people who don�t have hidden agendas, and who don�t use most of their time in doing mischief and creating conflicts. Sincerely Yours.
