Hi Bernado, My views I thought were clear in my writings on this subject. But since you ask, my philosophy is: Make the best with what one has and improve on it. It is better to work on something than 'talking', 'opining' or just 'wanting' it. But this sometimes helps and it may be the first step. I would encourage Diaspora Goans to worry about their own Goan Diaspora community. The people to make a decision now about Goa's status are the present native resident Goans. I like your idea of Special Economic Zone. Perhaps you can share a more detail presentation of your thoughts on this subject. It is my understanding that India has or was planning to have special tax-exempt zones. Dont know what the status / experience of this concept. Regards. -----Original Message----- From: Bernado Colaco [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Alternatives for Goa Hi Gilberto, You have not placed your personal views about alternatives. Or is it that you lack information? Kindly note that southern states in the sub continent are talking about alternatives. There are also opinions of Bangalore being the capital. As for the examples stated by Domingos, Singapore relies on Malaysia for water, labour etc. Hong Kong and Macau are not indepedent but are an example of alternatives (Special Economic Zones). B.
