The tug-of-war between the CM of the day and the Police Chief does not seem to have ended. The dichotonomy between the dispensations in Delhi and Panjim only seems to have made it worse. Even if the police force is not fully disciplined, its Chief may soon be 'disciplined' by the CM via the Under-Secretary [Home]. In carrom, such 'home shots' are prohibited.Politics is no carrom tournament...although any policeman would love a posting on the Queen of beaches[ no pun intended ;-) ] Till tourism or drug trade or international white slavery overtakes them, the mining lobbies will continue to control politics in Goa.
