It is a good coverage, congratulations to Bonaventure Pietro for the great achievement. What Nagrivadis could not shower on you finally Romivadis did. Nagrivadis should have translated your "Romansi" into Nagriscript and forwarded for Sahitya Academy Award but surprisingly they find nothing good in Romiscript. A handful of Nagrivadis are having monopoly of Konkani language and Sahitya Academy they have made as if it is their own "avoichem-bens". Dr. Olivinho Gomes a renowned and prolific Konkani writer both in Romi and Nagri scripts who has written so many interesting books is still not awarded Sahitya Academy Award. Why? Is it because he is a Christian? All the rascals involved in denying Romivadis their due credit and all the "chors ani bamtes" denying Christian Konkani writers their deserving awards should be exposed with all the fury otherwise they will never come to their senses. These rascals wanted Romivadis and that of Christians support to converge at Azad Maidan to fight for the cause of Konkani. If Konkani is recognised and made official language it was only because of the might and enermous contribution of overwhelming majority of Christians and Romivadis like us Kuwaitkars. Nobody can deny this fact. But to deny Romivadis of their rightful places is robbery which must be exposed and opposed. Can Mauzos, Bhembros, Kelekars, Shivdas, Naiks, Borkars and others put some light on this?
Meantime, we in Kuwait have already taken a decision to invite Mr. Bona Venture Pietro to Kuwait on 14th January 2005 to take part in our Konkani Musical Show under Konkani Heritage Kuwait. During this show Mr. Pietro will be honoured publicly for the enermous contribution in the promotion and develpoment of Goan language Konkani. We also have more plans to invite more of Pietros and honour them in Kuwait and while doing so we would tell the entire world the discrimination Nagrivadis are doing for Romivadis in Goa. It is time for all of us to talk now and to talk more and to talk forcefully. Konkani is not their "Bapaicho Fath" only to handle it the way they want.
