The "reverse brain drain" which started out as a joke among Canadian websites is quickly becoming reality. Michael Moore and others call "the lure of a Republican free country" to strong to ignore. The Bush Administration played down the issue of the draft prior to the election, but people with teenage sons are seriously thinking of moving to Canada now that the US has leased a barrage of new attacks in Iraq, signalling that they will need troops there for a long, long time. Canadians have taken all this in stride. We already have a name for the region from B.C. to California. It's going to be called "Pacifica." And yes, Arnold will be eligible to run for Prime Minister of Canada. Although there is not yet a consensus for what the New England states will be called, we are leaning towards calling those states the "South East Territories" i.e. a sister to North-west Territories. Canada has always attracted idealists. "I don't think of Canada as a refuge but more of a sanctuary for values that include looking after the elderly and providing them with free health services" said a prospective American immigrant.
