For sure, no. I just think they lack options in Goa (for long, just one government-run nursing college -- offering diplomas, not degrees) and were also unaware of the options.
In the 'sixties, my mum mentioned to one girl about the possibility of training at St Martha's in Bangalore. Finally, five or six girls from the village landed up there. All have spent a good professional life, doing work which young women in Goa seem well equipped to handle. The service spirit also helps. FN
