The first list of Inter-State Transfers in the Second
Transfer Window of the Indian Football season were
released today by the AIFF. 
21 transfers have been cleared with Fransa FC being
the biggest gainers with six players joining the Goans
- Hardip Singh Saini, Sanjeev Kumar Maria (both Mohun
Bagan AC), Syed Hussein (East Bengal Club), Jules
Alberto Dias (Mahindra United), Anit Kumar Ghosh
(Mohammedan Sporting Club), Narshiman Balaji
(Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) - four former Indian
internationals amongst them. So Fransa are
strengthening their team after a not so good finish in
the Goa Pro league. 
JCT Mills were the biggest losers as IM Vijayan left
for Goans Churchill Brothers SC and Jo Paul Ancheri
left for Mohun Bagan AC. Mohun Bagan also got Niyaz
Rahaman cleared from Fransa FC. Another player joining
the Maidan club T Roopesh also from Fransa FC has not
been cleared yet according to the list, though Roopesh
has been part of the Bagan Durand Cup squad. 
Talented Delhi state goalkeeper Vinay Singh got
transferred from Delhi's Simla Young to Churchill
Brothers SC. 
There were also some non-National League transfers.

 
Climax Lawrence has been named captain. 
East Bengal midfielder Climax Lawrence has been named
captain for the last and inconsequential 2006 World
Cup qualifier against Oman on November 17 in Muscat.
Climax is the fifth INDIA captain in the last few
month's as last stand-in captain Deepak Mondal was
injured in the Durand Cup semifinals earlier this
week. Besides Deepak also out of the final squad of 17
players is RC Prakash also not fully fit. Coming new
into the team are youngsters Rocus Lamare from
Salgaocar SC and East Bengal Club utility man Syed
Rahim Nabi. 
Once more missing are a lot of regulars - captain
Baichung Bhutia, Renedy Singh, Shanmugam Venkatesh,
Deepak Kumar Mondal, Mahesh Gawli and Sandip Nandy, so
chief coach Stephen Constantine has to rely on a young
team. Rajinder Gupta from Himachal Pradesh has been
named manager. The team leaves for Muscat on Monday.
