I recently heard an Iraqi physician from Baghdad and
an Iraqi lawyer from Basra interviewed on a local
radio show, and what they had to say needs to be
exposed as part of the overall record.

They claimed that they have been amazed at the
coverage of the events in Iraq in the world and
especially the American media.  They claim that the
media spends 100% of coverage on less than 10% of the
conflict that remains in the country of 25 million
people and zero percent on the reconstruction that is
going on right now.

They described an incredible level of reconstruction
going on in 90% of Iraq, of roads and sanitary
systems, water treatment plants and electric grids,
schools and especially hospitals.  Oil pipelines are
being fixed within hours or days of being blown up by
the insurgents, who are entirely Baathist remnants
fighting for their lives and foreign jihadis fighting
to get to their quota milk and honey and 72 virgins.
The physician described the dilapidated condition
under which he used to work under Saddam's regime, and
how his hospital had been cleaned up and re-equipped
by the coalition.  He said he felt like a doctor
again. Reconstructing dilapidated hospitals had been
the coalition's highest priority.

They have formed a group called "Voices of Iraq" and
have produced a DVD to illustrate what they are saying
is not being covered by the media, which is totally
focused on the areas of conflict.  Their DVD is
available on www.voicesofiraq.com.

WARNING: Supporters of Saddam Hussein and opponents
of the regime change may find the contents of this DVD
very disturbing.
