http://sify.com/news/fullstory.php?id=13615676 Bomb threat reported at IFFI venue Tuesday, 23 November , 2004, 22:12Panaji: Police were kept on their toes after a bomb threat was reported from one of the main venue of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at Panaji on Tuesday, which was later found to be a hoax. A call threatening that a bomb had been placed at the newly built Inox multiplex, in the heart of the city, was received at 8 p.m., DGP Amod Kanth said. "We received the call at 8 p.m. and were able to trace it immediately to an STD booth. We checked the theatre within half-an-hour and were not able to detect such threat", he said. "We will be carrying out a detailed investigation into the matter", Kanth said, even as he refused to divulge the location of the STD booth. However, highly placed government officials denied the bomb threat and said it was part of a police drill. "It was not a bomb scare. We were just conducting a drill to check the response time in case of such an eventuality during the actual event." - Forwarded by www.goa-world.com
