Dear Alister,
Did St. Francis Xavier really sail past South Korea's shores to get to Japan? Just curious about the geographic location of the two countries.
Best regards, Victor
My dear, good Victor,
You are out, at best, for a very minimal victory...
However close or far SFX sailed to the Korean coast, he did sail far closer (albeit, relatively) to it than to the Bay of 'Frisco or the two Colon brothers did to India when they labeled an entire continent as "India discovered".
And while we are on the topic, I would like to request our proud promoter of the paragonic Wikipedia that the Goencho Sai'b, is, besides the patronships attributed him in that worthy source of knowledge (panegerics/FN) he is also the patron-saint of immigrants (with St Elizabeth Hasselblad), of tailors, of cooks (remember the crab that resvued his coross? It inspired a whole culinary fest) and doubting jesuits.
Alfred
