Feast Of St. Francis Xavier
The Young Goans Club Bahrain, which celebrates its annual day alongwith the
feast of St. Francis Xavier has announced its programme for this years
festivities. The celebrations on December 3, will begin with a mass in konkani
at the Sacred Heart Church, Manama at 11.30 a.m.
The 51st Annual Day festivities will continue with a get togather of club
members at The Palace Inn Hotel, Adliya from 1.00 p.m. onwards. Live music
will be provided by the six piece band 'City Limits' from Goa. Indian
Ambassador Bhaskar Kumar Mitra will be the chief guest for the event, and the
newly appointed parish priest of Sacred Heart Church Rev. Fr. Thomas Quadros
will be the guest of honour.
Tickets for single members are BD:2, and for couples is BD:3. Children above 8
years will be charged BD:1. Guest passes for non members are priced at BD:3
for single and BD:5 for couples. Tickets will be issued at the Konkan Singers
Club on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Members are required to present their
updated membership cards at the time of buying entrance tickets.
