Dear,
The 2nd Gomant Vishwa Sammelan, a convention of World Wide Goans, will be
held at Panaji from 3rd to 5th January, 2005 at Kala Academy Complex. It is
an annual get together of the representatives of Goan Diaspora, scattered
all over the world. People of Goan origin settled in the various parts of
the country and abroad will participate in the three- day Convention.
Programme will include interactive sessions on three thrust areas, namely
Healthcare, Agriculture and Problems faced by NRGs and NRIs in the area of
their settlements. Kavi Sammelan will be arranged in which selected poets
will present their poems. While the stress will be on entertainment, poets
will be free to present poems of their choice. Goan poets writing in
Portuguese, English, Marathi and Konkani will be invited. "Face to Face"
Programme with the Hon'ble Chief Minister and variety entertainment
programme will be wider attraction.
There will be three categories of delegates (1) Visiting Delegates (2) Local
Delegates and (3) Member of the Organizing Committee. The Sammelan will be
open to public and they will be allowed to participate in the deliberations.
However they will not be entitled for other facilities like lunch, dinner
etc., provided by the Centre.
The delegates fee shall be Rs. 200/- per person. For further details
