Nothing much, except for the fact that the recently inaugurated bridge will now turn into a dinner venue for the IFFI guests and delegates on December 3.
The Aldona-Corjuem bridge has been turned into a venue for a lavish dinner to be hosted by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for all IFFI delegates, film stars, VVIPs and other special invitees on Friday.
In fact, the bridge has already been closed to all traffic since Wednesday evening, in order to facilitate security and to make arrangements for a stage and other dining facilities.
The Friday evening extravaganza for the 450-odd guests on the bridge includes a performance by noted Indian comedian Javed Jaffrey, besides fireworks and live music.
The North Goa District police has been directed to ensure maximum security for the VVIPs, guests and delegates, while traffic to and from Corjuem is to regulated by the Corjuem-Aldona ferry service. --------------------------------- HERALD 2/12/04 page 3 --------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- GOA CIVIC AND CONSUMER ACTION NETWORK --------------------------------------------------------------------------- an initiative of GOA DESC RESOURCE CENTRE to promote civic and consumer rights in Goa --------------------------------------------------------------------------- GOACAN Post Box 78 Mapusa, Goa 403 507 Tel: 2252660 mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] website: www.goacan.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
