Dempo file case against organisers, keeper and hospital
TOI

BANGALORE: Dempo Sports Club officials have lodged a complaint of criminal
negligence leading to death, against Mohun Bagan goalkeeper Subrata Paul,
the Hosmat hospital and the Karnataka State Football Association, the local
organisers of the Federation Cup.

The complaint has been lodged with the Sampangi Ramnagar police, under whose
jurisdiction the Kanteerava Stadium falls, by Dempo coach Armando Colaco.

"The team manager has lodged a complaint against the organisers alleging
inadequate medical facilities and that the Mohun Bagan goalkeeper
deliberately struck the victim. The complaint also alleges negligence by
Hosmat," joint commissioner of police (crime) Narayan Gowda told TOI.

While doctors at the Hosmat hospital said Junior was 'brought dead,' Dempo
officials and soccer fans -- who gathered at the hospital, said lack of
adequate medical facilities at the field caused the death.
