Good afternoon,

I have launched an on-line initiative THE FUTURE OF GOA as the English version of my website Supergoa.com (Portuguese).

I would like to invite all interested in contributing with in-depth essays, articles and interviews. While discovering Goa for myself I hope also to make Goans in general rediscover their homeland, especially the Goan youth and the Goan Diaspora.

The first contribution, now online, is an interview with Goa's Minister for Tourism, Sports and Youth, Mathany Saldanha.

Please do participate. And forward this message to all mailing-lists, fora and potent and potentially interested people.

Deu borem korum.

regards,
Constantino

 P r e s e n t a t i o n

The Future of Goa initiative provides an in-depth perspective on Goa. It starts with a series of interviews I have conducted in the state. While discovering Goa for myself I hope also to make Goans in general rediscover their homeland.

This space is open to other written contributions. Interested should reflect upon the future of the state, sharing their thoughts on a specific issue-area they work on, are specialized in or simply care about. Especially the Goan youth and the Goan Diaspora are invited to participate, in order to re-engage them into Goa's present and future.

The aim is to create an environment of critical examination in Goa's politics, economics, civil society and culture.

 P a r t i c i p a t i o n

All are invited to contribute to The Future of Goa. This especially includes students, journalists, academia, social activists, but above all, those who care about the future of Goa, from whichever nationality or background.

 S u b m i s s i o n s

Contributions for The Future of Goa should not cross a word-limit of 5000 and be written in a clear and accessible English language. The contribution should reflect original thinking on the present and future of Goa and its Diaspora and need not be technical or very academic, although they should be serious in content, tone, and style. They may contain references, images and graphics.

The author may include a selected bibliography on the subject addressed. All written articles should be sent as attached text-format files to [EMAIL PROTECTED], with contacts and a brief self-description.
