Fred, Last year I tried to get information on recordings / archives made by the Emissora de Goa and All India Radio of the concerts given by the Orquestra Sinfonica de Goa (Goa Symphony Orchestra) - especially that of Dec 1952 and Feb 1962 - to no avail. Either the recordings of the period have not be catalogued, or else the tapes have been "recycled". I do, however, a set of recordings purported to have been recorded by the Emissora de Goa in the late 50s(and obtained by my cousin), of some mandos, dulpods and instrumentals played and sung by a troupe made up of Noel Flores (piano), Salvador & Anacleto Figueiredo (violin), late Fortunato Figueiredo (guitar/cello), and others whose names I do not have, nor do I have the details of the mandos or the dates of the recordings. I have put these recordings on a CD, but the quality has deteriorated somewhat after undergoing a number of analog "transformations" to a compact cassette before being digitally transferred to a CD.
