That said, what is the current situation in the Andamans given the recent tsunami? Looking at the map, it is pretty close to Thailand, and very apt to be almost drowned by the giant waves. Our local newspapers encircled them in red (potential victims). Has the Indian Govt done anything about surveying the damage caused & providing relief to the islands?
