Hi Gilbert,
Once again, many thanks for your considered comment to a question I had raised.
Personally, I am finding it incredibly hard to keep up with so many controversial and interesting issues raised on Goanet. I also must admit, most apologetically and profusely, to no clear recall on issues about the Inquisition or Goan Identity crises in the Diaspora to which you have referred.

Indeed, I have felt incredibly sidetracked by Goanet, from other urgent writing tasks I have to complete. I have made many resolutions to lay off Goanet for a while but the flesh has invariably been weak when it comes to Goanet!

As to the closure, or not, of discussion, I'd rather see a topic die, even if this is slow, than see an imposed closure of 24 hours. However, Fred's proposal to obtain comment on this issue, from the wider readership, is a good one in the interests of democracy. In this respect, my other big question is how can we get the silent majority to contribute to Goanet? This is most important in my view. Perhaps, if some of the 'heavyweight contributers' went silent for a while, this would help to draw others into contributing. Should we try this? I'd be more than happy to oblige if this will help.
Regards,
Cornel
