Dear Lucy,

Any enquiry about Goa proves how small the world really is!

Emma Hawkes wrote to me last year seeking info. on resettling in Goa. I put her in touch with a BBC TV Production Company which was already in Goa doing a programme about foreigners resettling there. They had contacted me earlier seeking subjects to be featured.

Emma then went to Goa and featured in the fifth and final one-hour programme that was transmitted on BBC2 in August 2004. She was living in 119 Parra Tinto, Parra, Bardez, Goa and negotiating for a property in Candolim to open a restaurant she intended to call Cafe Maya. She was buying it through Michael Lobo a local estate agent. Evidently her mother is scheduled join her in Goa in March this year.

Your best bet would probably be to contact Michael Lobo - see http://www.homesgoa.com/WebPages/HTML/Contact_Us.htm for contact details. If that fails, do get back to me for other clues.

I am copying this message to GoaNet in case anyone in Goa is able to follow the trail.

Cheers,

Eddie Fernandes

Subject: [Goanet]Desperately seeking... Emma Hawkes from Herts

Hi all,

Bit of a long shot this but does anyone know Emma Hawkes, 27 ish from
Berkhamsted, Herts?

My name's Lucy and we were good mates a few years back but have lost
contact.

I was told by a mutual friend that she was living in Goa (buying a beach
bar??) and I'd absolutely love to know how she is getting on.

Any info would be much appreciated! My email is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Kind regards,
Lucy
