I strongly believe that the Portuguese should NOT have got mixed up in the blood bath involving the Hindu and Muslim warlord kings controlling Goa.
If they were interested in black pepper, they should have taken the pepper and gone back to where they came from.
Yes..... the Portuguese had NO business to invade Adil Shah's Goa. Full stop.
