July 1993: Uses her casting vote to support the government in what was (falsely) thought to be a tied vote on the Social Chapter of the Maastricht treaty. -- One would think that since India follows the same protocol as the U.K. the speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, should be allowed to vote, usually a casting vote when needed.
