I like this new procedure a little bit. It respects
the privacy of one's email address, and avoids
personalized spam. I would have liked complete
anonymity, but the Goanet administrators apparently do
not approve of it. They rejected my following message
twice, presumably on the grounds that I had not signed
my name at the bottom:

"I like this new procedure of not revealing the
identity of the poster. It eliminates the need to have
a false identity. It also discourages posts containing
silly name-calling and wasteful clashes between
personalities. Let us now hope that no poster types
his or her name at the end of each post. That way
people would be forced to address solely the substance
of each post, and not feel tempted to express their
love or lack thereof for its author. In keeping with
this hope I am not going to sign my name below."

I am forced to sign my name below.
