I don't know if I missed making a point somewhere. The parents AND the girl were Indian nationals (Goan) then. The fact is none of them could speak proper Hindi - Konkani and English being OK. As I said before, they were touring India before they migrated to Australia (Tasmania). I understand that the youngster was often stopped at the historic sites and questioned on tickets because she looked totally unlike her parents. The ones who violated the rules were the so-called authorities at the gates of the various historic sites, because at the time, they were all "Indians" from Goa.
