I am sorry I should have pointed out that I was being sarcastic when I said I liked this new format. I would also like to state that I am not the person who suggested this format to the Goanet administrators. But I understand why they have instituted it. I think they did it to prevent personalized spam i.e. targeted spam or abuse against a Goanetter by other Goanetters who do not like his/her posts, but are too timid, shy or ashamed to posts those emails on Goanet. Regarding Halur Rasho, I have no idea what he or she thinks about this. As I have stated once before, I am not Halur Rasho. I hope he will reveal his identity one of these days, and release me of this suspicion that Mr. Gabe Menezes has about me. I don't know what I can do to prove that I am not Mr./Ms./Mrs. Rasho. It is impossible to gain the trust of someone on a mailing list such as Goanet. However, while I am at it I would also like to mention that I am not Bernado Colaco. The only pseudonym I have used on Goanet is Pandurang Fernandes, but he has always posted from my email address, and many of my posts have had a disclaimer at the bottom indicating that Pandurang was indeed the alter-ego of Santosh. > >Perhaps the Goanet Admin will now put a new format >to the archives, as one will not be able to dig up a >thread by 'Author'. > I think this is definitely a problem. But there should be an easy solution for it. The archives have never revealed the email address. They only showed the name of the poster before. I don't know why that system has not been maintained. It should be easy to reinstate it. > >Spam can come into your email box through random >selection by new software employed by computer geeks. >So the excuse for this new format does not hold good. > As just explained, the spam one is talking about here is personalized or targeted spam from subscribers of Goanet to specific email addresses, depending on what views they express on this list. Cheers, Santosh Helekar (Not now and Never been Halur Rasho) from Chimbel, Goa, India
