By Welly Dias

The Kuwait Goa Tiatristanchi Sonvsta (KGTS), On 04th Feb., 2005 held its mega musical show entiltled " Konknni Machiek Nomann " at GES Auditorium Kuwait.

Succor and his ensemble of musicians did a superb job in providing the musical score for the show.

Jose Rod's prowess (in presentation, direction, composition and singing) were to the fore as his touch was visible during the presentation.

Domnic, John D'Silva, Luis Bachan, Francis de Tuem, Nelson, Mario, Jose Rod and others provided the humor element which sent the audience into raptures of laughter.

During the course of the show there were solos, duos, trios, etc., which the Kuwait based artistes as well as the visiting artistes contributed.

Kuwait based Adolf rendered 2-songs from the Konknni film "Bhuerantlo Munis". Adolk also lent his vocals to the Tsunami song together with Jose Rod and Lorna.

The evening's main draw was none other than Goa's nightingale, LORNA. Her rendition of most of the favourite oldies composed by Chris Perry with her awesome vocals regaled the audience.

KGTS' beneficiaries ( the senior retired Konknni stage artistes) for this year were announced. Trumpeter Agnelo Dias and actress Sabina were presented plaques.

Tributes were paid to M. Boyer on being awarded the Padma Shree and also the late saxophonist Juju for his contribution to the Konkani stage.

The show was a success with some innovative presentation concepts, good crowd attendance, direction, singing, etc.

The KGTS, its members, contributors, artistes, musicians and all are to be congratulated for the successful presentation.
