<On the [19/12/2001] flight's last leg from Mumbai to Goa, could notice a sea-change in the inflight services with the Captain himself giving a running commentary on Goa's beauty, etc., the crew all honey & sugar......What about direct flights to Goa ?, AI should introduce more flights to Goa prefereably on our weekends with competitive fares.
Or, AI should take over atleast one weekly direct flight from Indian Airlines. Or, how about the Indian Govt. allowing Intl. carriers to fly on the lucrative gulf sector with stopovers in Goa. Atleast there will be competition, breaking the monopoly of Air-India and Indian Airlines (IA), which will be beneficial to the public in terms of extra weight allowance, change Indian Airlines officials attitude towards the passengers. Welly Dias Q8 Raupi from Goa.> [Feb 9] ----------------------- Some questions: 1. Does Air India still fly to Goa, with a stop in Mumbai as reported above? How many times a day/week? 2. Does Goa have ANY scheduled international flights as distinct from international charters, say by Indian Airlines as implied by the above? If not why not? Phil Thomas Ribandar
