------------------------------------------------------------------- Nuvem Forum organises Consumer Rights Program ------------------------------------------------------------------- On the occasion of the 2nd Anniversary of the formation of the Nuvem Civic and Consumer Forum, the Forum is organizing a Public Awareness Programme on Consumer Rights. The program is being organised in collaboration with Goa Desc Resource Centre, Mapusa as part of the ongoing Consumer Rights Awareness Campaign being observed in different parts of Goa.
The program will be held on Sunday, 13 February 2005 at Mae dos Pobres School Hall, Nuvem at 10.30 am
The main item of the program will be a lecture cum demonstration by Mr.N.M.Naik the Controller, Dept. of Legal Metrology on the under-weighing of goods and the violation of the Packaged Commodities Rules.
Mr. Roland Martins, Co-ordinator of Goa Civic & Consumer Action Network (GOACAN)will also address the gathering and chair the interactive question-answer session.The programme is open to all residents of Nuvem, Verna and surrounding areas.
