As on of the whiners about the changes to the goanet I would like to thank Fred and his fellow admins for the roll back. Thanks again for all the work you'll put in. As a relatively old member of the goanet I have witnessed first had the effort that the admins put in to make sure that everyone has a pleasant experience on this our goa away from goa.... On the issue of Spam, I personally thinks its now up to individuals to protect their email using filters etc the assumption on joining a public forum like the goanet is that your address is now public. Your feedback showed us what the true feelings were. Some of you put in a very strong case why the email identities should be retained. We, at the Goanet-Admin Team, feel our decision was not suitable. Hence, the roll-back. Kindly note that we do need your feedback and help is essential in guiding up while taking decisions that are good for Goanet and its members. Even if it may seem that we are slow in taking decisions (the price to be paid for consulting before deciding, across three continents). We are looking out for other solutions to the problem of spam and illegal email harvesting of addresses. Do stay in touch.
