Cuncolim Feb 14/05 Police inspector Sammy Tavares was felicitated at the hands of Cuncolim MLA Joaquim Alemao for being conferred the president's medal on the occasion of the finals of the late Varde Ambe Memorial South Goa Volleyball Tournament organized by Sanvorcatta Sports Club, Cuncolim at Sanvorcotto Cuncolim late on Sunday evening.
The felicitation function was organized jointly by Rising club of Sanvorcotto Cuncolim and Sanvorcatta Sports Club. Former Mamlatdar of Quepem Armando Barbosa, and Dr. Prakash Kurade were other present for the felicitation function. Alemao speaking on the occasion lauded the services of Tavares as being a honest and upright police officer. Tavares replying to the felicitation thanked both the clubs for the felicitation function.
