THE FALL OF BJP AND THE RISE OF CONGRESS.
I am in dilemma because in one side I am happy that the communal BJP has collapsed in Goa and on the other side I am sad because corrupt Congress is entrusted with the Government. Worst still is handing over of the Government machinery into the hands of Rane who is equally guilty as Parrikar of sowing communal seeds in Goa. In fact both Parrikar and Rane silently and internally partners in the same crime of creating communal disharmony in Goa. My former colleague in Konkani movement Mathaney Saldanha is the traitor who betrayed the interest of my community with a Judas Kiss. I always had high hope in his integrity and unflinching support to his secular credentials but alas, he disgraced us by supporting the worst communal party BJP. The people from Cortalim constituency should punish him for his betraying them with their trust. All those who were singing hozanas in praise of Cortalim constituents for electing Mathanay and dumping Mauwin Godinho another corrupt Christian politician, must hold the Cortalim constituents responsible for allowing Mathanay Saldanha to hurt the interests of Christian community when Mathanary Saldanha promoted Parrikar in doing anti-Christian acts. He was elected to uphold the principle of the party that he represented and not to prostitute himself with BJP. It is a pity that people like me in our community are not getting upright persons to fight their causes in the Parliament and State Legislative Assemblies. See what George Fernandes did while supporting BJP at the Centre. When our priests, nuns and our religious places harassed, desecrated and destroyed George Fernandes kept total silence. I was always under the impression that he would support our community during the time of crisis but on the contrary he became part of the criminal gang against us only by siding with BJP�s communal tirade against us and against the minorities. See what our own Mathanay Saldanha did in Goa. He kept his total silence when communal Parrikar let lose communal virus in Goa against Christians by releasing the VCD. If Mathanay Saldanha had any love for his community which elected him from Cortalim he would have opposed Parrikar not only for VCD but also for many of the ill doings against minorities by Parrikar Government. I have never seen such a shameless and such a traitor politician in Goa. I curse the womb of those mothers who conceive such a child. It is a pity that our community in the past boasted of great stalwarts who not only upheld the high ideals of secularism but also protected the interest of our community is now suffering from having a single good politician. If our own members fail to protect our interest then what will be fate of us in the hands of communal and anti-Christian politicians like Parrikars and Ranes? We need bold and courageous people to protect us and our interest. Dayananda Bandodkar deserve full credit in this respect at least and that is, he helped and supported his people not for any price but for his love for his Bhahujan samaz people. For ordinary �Gaddekar� he made �Mottorkar and Buskar�. In this campaign his only mistake was that he never realized that among Christians also there is a Bhahujan samaz.
Dr. Ambedkar patriotism towards Bharat was unquestionable. But when the question of the protection of his people came, he openly declared that �if a clash of interest occurs between my Bharat and my people meaning Harijans, I will side with my people and turn my back to my Bharat�. What does it show us? A man of Ambedkar�s integrity talking like this in support of his people! Why our own leaders cannot do the way the great Dr. Ambdekar did and side our community interest?
After his recent resurfacing from his hiding place, Mathanay Saldanha said by deciding what to do the next he will follow the voice of his conscience. My foot. Mathanay Saldanha cannot follow the voice of his consience, he has to follow the instruction of his party that got him elected in the Assembly. He is bound by party disciplines and not by the voice of his conscience which is nothing but a betrayal. And to my regret I cannot understand how almost every elected member of UGDP defects to other lollipop giving parties. This UGDP is also become another menace of producing and electing members of questionable characters. This has to be stopped in future.
