The brothers used to set up a mechanical crib at their place in Panjim (off Rua Afonso de Albuquerque) in the 1960s. They used to play in a band called Gay Caballeros or something like that at the time, usually at Hotel Mandovi, besides working for the Imprensa Nacional (Govt. printing press).
