Case against dog for killing dog!:-
Ujjain | February 26, 2005 5:55:38 PM IST

Ujjain, Feb 26 : Police in this Madhya Pradesh town are conducting
investigations and a post-mortem into a rare case - a dog accused of
having mauled to death another dog.

The Kotwali police here are conducting a probe into the complaint
lodged by J.P. Soni, a resident of Ujjain, stating that his pet dog
Sheru was killed by a neighbour's dog while he had taken it for a walk
Friday evening.

In the complaint, Soni charged his neighbour Kanhaiyya Lal's dog,
Tyson, with having killed his dog.

"I have charged Tyson with killing my dog. Either I should get my dog
back or Tyson should be punished," said Soni.

Tyson's owner Kanhaiyya Lal said he had asked Soni earlier not to
bring his dog in front of Tyson.

"Soni's dog was too small. Tyson took it for a cat and killed it," said Lal.

Kotwali police station official, Darshan Singh, said a First
Information Report (FIR) had been lodged against Tyson.

"Tyson has been charged under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. It
is the same as a man committing murder," said Singh.

"A post-mortem examination of Sheru has been done and further
investigations are on," he said.
